I made a call on Instagram this morning saying that today was quite a gorgeous day and I was hoping I’d see some interesting things out at the show today. Honestly, after waking up at 3:00 in the morning to make it to a 5:30 work meeting, anything could have made this day better. Lo and behold, I think we got one of the most diverse collection of cars from the Birmingham area. Here are the highlights.
Of course, we must start out with the old faithful white whale. She’s overdue for an oil change.
I really dig the color on this Viper. Dark blue, so dark it’s nearly black. Plus with the proper saddle interior.
X1/9! I recently found out that these were quite slow, but hey, I don’t care.
Really clean MKII Supra, a generation that’s a personal favorite as well.
An old favorite, the old diesel G.
My personal favorite Supra generation is the MkIII, which sounded absolutely insane.
Some Golfs. All lowered. Most ratted.
Classy old 7 Series. Me like.
The bus, as pointed out by Daily Drives a Dragon.
Another favorite, there’s just something so nice about it.
The king.
You all know that I love Soarers. So, you can imagine how many orgasms I had.
I’ve never seen a Conquest before today. It’s totally radical.
My favorite Miata, in case you didn’t know.
Just in case we didn’t have enough 80s Japanese sports cars, here’s this FB RX-7.
The despot even decided to make a visit.
I always preferred the non-Laguna Seca Boss 302. Owner was also nice.
Some Audis. Meh.
The best VW.
Local dealer brought out a new Daytona, basically we had a whole FCA group in a minute.
I originally said that I thought B5 blue was the best color on a Mopar...I’m having second thoughts.
Some malaise love.
Dave the car guy , still here

Nice selection of cars. Good turnout for winter. If not stock an X1/9 can be pretty quick. My uncle had one he bought new back in the day and bought all the hot euro parts for it. It had over 130 hp after eliminating emissions and getting different head, cams, exhaust and carbs. I beat a Porsche 914-6 on the bridge between Nags Head and Manteo NC by many car lengths when he tried to not let me pass him. It was even faster than our Mercury Marauder with a Cobra Jet engine at the time. I should have bought it off him but he handed it down to my younger cousins.

I like how Hendrick(?) was like “Hey, C&C is across the street, take a bunch of cars over there and crash the party!” This reminds me, I’ve haven’t been to the pistol range in months...weekdays are half price from 11-1.

It actually wasn’t Hendrick, it was some other dealer.

Shocking! Because Hendrick seems to be everywhere after they showed up in town a couple years ago.
